How long does the food actually last?
Sealed and unopened, our buckets are rated for 25-year shelf life, same standard as the major long-term storage brands.
Is this actually healthy, unlike other prepper food?
Yes — real freeze-dried vegetables and organic fruit, not the powdered fillers and artificial ingredients common in a lot of long-term storage food.
What's the difference between The Patch and The Big Patch?
The Big Patch is everything The Patch is, just more of it — 5 lbs of freeze-dried food (about 300 servings) instead of 2 lbs (about 120 servings). Same ingredients, same quality, sized for bigger households or a deeper reserve.
Can I use this for camping or hiking, not just prepping?
Absolutely. The same lightweight, shelf-stable food that makes sense for emergency storage also makes sense for a backpack.

Right now we ship free anywhere in the continental U.S. We don't offer international shipping yet, but it's something we're evaluating as we grow.
Does every bucket really include candy?
Yes — every Patch includes a couple of freeze-dried candy bags. It's a small thing, but we think an emergency plan should include something that makes you smile, not just calories.
How is everything packaged inside the bucket?
Nothing is loose. Every fruit, vegetable, and candy bag is sealed in its own individual pouch inside the bucket — open only what you need and everything else stays fresh and protected.
